Imphal, The Hump and Beyond
U.S.A.A.F. Combat Cargo Groups of the Second World War
of Fear" Embark on a journey back in
time! Relive the exciting and frightening memories of Ben Deatherage.
Deatherage, a Flight Engineer in an Army Air Force C-47 cargo plane, gives you a rare glimpse at one of the forgotten "Theaters of War" the CBI, China-Burma-India, of World War II.
This theater did not feature actors. The participants were real men and women; pilots, soldiers and nurses. They were sons and daughters, brothers and sisters. They did not work for applause or acclaim. They worked for freedom and their lives. Unfortunately, far too many paid with theirs.
112 pages. Illus., 5 3/8 X 8 3/8, paperback.

I am looking for former members of the 3rd Combat Cargo Group, 1st, Combat Cargo Group, 2nd Combat Cargo Group and the 4th Combat Cargo Group. In fact I would like to hear from anyone who flew over the Hump during WW II, or flew any Combat Cargo Missions at any time (Berlin Air-Lift, Korea, etc.)
Please e-mail comment, suggestions, corrections,etc to: email@example.com
