William John Bielauskas ('Wild Bill') and all the members of the 3rd Combat Cargo Group, 10th Combat Cargo Squadron, who, untrained for the mission they were being assigned, boarded new C-47As and flew via the Atlantic to India and the unknown adventure that awaited them.
