Imphal, The Hump and Beyond
U.S.A.A.F. Combat Cargo Groups of the Second World War
1st Combat Cargo Group, 4th Combat Cargo Squadron
One Memory
T/Sgt. Walter Kamula
| After putting in our hazardous flying
hours everyone in the Squadron was very eager to get back to base to enjoy our
"Goldies Famous Cooking". Can you imagine, especially during the very
heavy monsoon like rains, the only appropriate dress was going in our underwear, shoes and
mess kits to eat. Looking back, brings many comical memories of our youthful days T/Sgt. Walter Kamula ('Goldies Famous Cooking' - T/Sgt. Herbert Goldberg) |
